The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

One of the top hits on my bucket list for this summer was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I’ve been a huge fan of the franchise since I started to read the books at 10 years old. When I first heard of the new themed land in Universals Island of Adventure never did I think I would have the chance to visit it, not any time in the near future anyway. Honestly, it’s one of the main reasons I decided to get the annual pass (which is $261 for the preferred pass if you are wondering).

The land did not disappoint. Apart from getting pretty crowded sometimes, they really did a good job. From the castle looming in the distance to Honeydukes sweet interior. I’ve been there about 5 times now and rode the Forbidden Journey (amazing ride!) 7 times, it never gets old. I’ve even braved Dragon Challenge several times, which for me is a big achievement. I hate rollercoasters!

If you haven’t been before I really recommend checking it out. The rest of Universal is just a bonus, although Disney will always be number one. *grumble about express passes* If you get the annual pass going three times makes it worth it, hello Florida Resident discount. My favourite part has to be HoneyDukes and the castle, love love love.

Star Wars Weekend!

Arriving on June 3rd means we got to attend the last Star Wars weekend of the year, lucky us! I for one adore star wars so was pretty excited to meet some characters and of course, ride Star Tours! I especially loved the hoopla event which went on at the hat in the evening. Baddies > Goodies! What an amazing weekend with some amazing people. Darth’s Mall popped up next to rock n roller coaster for the event which housed many star wars goodies plus a meet with some of your favourite members of the rebellion.

Me and my roomies had only spent a couple of days together at that point but it really felt like we had all known each other for years. Actually love them muchlies =]

The First Visit To Magic Kingdom

Hey! I know I'm pretty behind with blogging out here, so so busy. I am only around a week and half behind with my vlogs though so check them out to see what I’m upto! Anyway, after traditions we had our first visit to magic kingdom! It was pretty late by the time we arrived, so the evening mostly consisted of watching the Electrical Parade and Wishes from behind the castle. I was a little disappointed we watched it from behind, but the crowds were so huge that we couldn't even get to main street. It’s no biggie now as I watch the show practically every night at work anyway!

A few of the guys were starting training early the next morning so they left while me, jenn, hayley, andrew and ashleigh went on the haunted mansion and it’s a small world. I also tried my first Micky Pretzel before the ELP! Omnom.
